
A delegation led by Inoue Naoki, President of the Sri Lanka–Japan Friendship Association has met with Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake at the Presidential Secretariat.
The meeting held yesterday (12) focused extensively on further strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Japan and Sri Lanka, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.
Recalling that the Association had recently facilitated the provision of three ambulances to the North Western Provincial Council, President Inoue Naoki expressed the Association’s continued willingness to provide further assistance to Sri Lanka as required.
Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake expressed his appreciation for the support extended by the Association in further strengthening the longstanding friendship between Sri Lanka and Japan, the PMD stated.
Senior Assistant Secretary to the President Dr. R. D. R. Perera, Assistant Secretary to the President R. A. Ruwanpathirana and members of the Sri Lanka–Japan Friendship Association M. R. Dissanayake, O. N. S. Amarasinghe and G. W. Thissa Dayananda, among others, were also present.
