The Ministry of Education has launched an investigation after six packets containing the first question paper of the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Physics examination, scheduled to be held tomorrow (14), were found at an A/L examination centre in Ambalantota today (13).
The relevant packets were discovered inside a question paper container at an Ambalantota school serving as an A/L examination coordination centre, officials said.
The six packets containing the Physics Exam's first question papers had been found among question paper packets for the subjects of Music, Dancing and Agriculture, which were scheduled to be conducted today, officials said.
However, Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Kumari Liyanage said the packets containing the Physics question papers had not been unsealed.
The G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination is currently being conducted across the island, and in such a context, the incident has been reported from the Ambalantota examination centre.
