Two individuals have died in separate road accidents involving motorcycles in two areas, police said.
The first accident had occurred in Ambalanwatta, Galle, when a motorcycle collided with a bicycle.
The motorcyclist and the cyclist had sustained injuries in the accident and were admitted to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.
The cyclist later had succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment, police said.
The deceased has been identified as a 65-year-old resident of Ambalanwatta, Galle.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was killed in another accident in the Thambagalla area of Madampe after his motorcycle collided with a lorry.
Police said the deceased was a 25-year-old resident of Weerakodiyana.
Further investigations are underway into both accidents.
