Parliament officials appear before CIABOC over complaint by ex-Deputy Secretary-General

Several officials from Parliament appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) today (3) in connection with a complaint lodged by former Deputy Secretary-General of Parliament Chaminda Kularatne.


The parliamentary officials reportedly appeared before the Commission with documents relevant to the investigation into the complaint.


CIABOC is continuing its inquiries into the matter.

 

An investigation was launched following a complaint filed by former Deputy Secretary-General of Parliament Chaminda Kularatne and several other parties, on February 02, 2026, regarding the alleged misuse of vehicles and official residences by the Speaker of House.
