
The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) has stated that the total number of dengue cases reported in Sri Lanka so far this year has risen to 98,081.
A total of 2,590 dengue cases have been identified during the month of September so far.
Meanwhile, a total of 74 dengue-related deaths have been recorded so far this year.
The Western Province has recorded the highest number of dengue cases, with 51,679 cases identified so far this year.
The NDCU said that 35 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions across the island continued to be identified as high-risk dengue zones.
