The 48-hour token strike launched by several railway trade unions, including the Sri Lanka Railway Station Masters’ Association (SLRSMA) over several demands, has now ended.
Chairman of the SLRSMA, Sumedha Somarathna, said the strike ended at midnight yesterday (18).
He further said that the unions would take steps to intensify their trade union action in the future if the authorities fail to remove the General Manager of Railways from his post.
