The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has updated the landslide early warnings issued for several areas.

 

Accordingly, the warning has been issued under Level 1 and Level 2 categories.

 

Areas under Level 2 warning:

 

Galle District: Nagoda, Neluwa Divisional Secretariat Divisions.

 

Kandy District: Pasbage Korale, Ganga Ihala Korale Divisional Secretariat Divisions.

 

Kegalle District: Yatiyantota, Dehiowita, Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat Divisions.

 

Matara District: Pitabeddara Divisional Secretariat Division.

 

Nuwara Eliya District: Kotmale, Kotmale East Divisional Secretariat Divisions.

 

Ratnapura District: Ayagama, Pelmadulla, Ratnapura, Kuruwita, Nivithigala, Eheliyagoda Divisional Secretariat Divisions.

 

Kalutara District: Palindanuwara, Walallavita, Agalawatta, Bulathsinhala Divisional Secretariat Divisions.


Areas under Level 1 warning:

 

Colombo District: Seethawaka Divisional Secretariat Division.

 

Kalutara District: Ingiriya Divisional Secretariat Division.

 

Kegalle District: Ruwanwella, Warakapola, Aranayake, Bulathkohupitiya Divisional Secretariat Divisions.

 

Matara District: Kotapola, Akuressa Divisional Secretariat Divisions.

 

Ratnapura District: Kiriella, Kalawana Divisional Secretariat Divisions.

 

Galle District: Thawalama Divisional Secretariat Divisions.

 

The warning will remain in effect from 10.00 a.m. today (20) until 10.00 a.m. tomorrow (21).
