Steps will be taken in order to promptly release all the LTTE members who are currently detained, Rehabilitation and Prison Reforms Minister Chandrasiri Gajadeera said during a function held to hand over rehabilitated Tamil Tigers to their parents.
While some 12,000 LTTE cadres surrendered to the government in the final stages of the humanitarian mission 7,000 of them have already been released the Minister added.
