Another group of prisoners have gone on a hunger strike at the Anuradhapura prison today (January 26) after the clashes between a group of inmates and prison authorities earlier this week, Prisons Commissioner Major General V.R. De Silva said.
The strike has taken place in protest of inadequate meals, the inspection of food brought in from outside the prison and the overcrowding of wards.
