Executive presidency wrong only after leaving govt - Rajapaksa

December 13, 2014   05:49 pm

President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that certain individuals see the wrong and corruption of the executive presidential system only after they leave the government.

He stated if a Presidential Election was not coming up ahead those individuals would not see the shortcomings of the Executive Presidency.

Rajapaksa said that everyone should unite to defeat the objectives of such “opportunists”.

Speaking at a campaign meeting in Naula, he further said that the journey of a country cannot be turned back by false accusations.
