President Maithripala Sirisena says that certain people are wrongly criticizing and wrongly interpreting the government because the concept of a unity government is a new tradition and experience for them.

He was addressing a ceremony to mark the one year anniversary of the SLFP-UNP government held in Matara today (19).

The President vowed that the government led by himself and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will definitely save the country from the present economic crisis which was caused due to the loans obtained by the previous government.

He assured that no foreign power in the world will be allowed to control or manage the government and that it will face the international community without a shred of fear.

The President warned politicians who are attempting to form a new party in order to topple the government that the day such a party is created, all the information kept as secrets so far will be put out and revealed to the people.
