Chandrika an agent in conspiracy to split SLFP - Vasu

Leader of Democratic Left Front (DLF) MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara says that the leader of the SLFP participating in the UNP convention as the chief guest shows that harmony exists between the two parties.

However, this harmony has become the cause for the splitting of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), he told reporters in Colombo today (13). 

He charged that in a way former President Chaindrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga is also an “agent” in this “conspiracy” to split the SLFP.

He said that the Local Government election is expected to be held soon and if it is not held the people will rise up against the government. 

The former minister said that this election will show the reducing support for the SLFP leadership which is engaging in politics in unity with the UNP ahead of the LG polls.
