Mayor elect of the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC), A.J.M. Muzammil greeted by supporters near the counting centre at D. S. Senanayake College in Colombo after election results were announced yesterday (October 9) night. Muzammil received the highest number of preferential votes with 55,448 votes ahead of UPFA candidate Milinda Moragoda who received 32,103.  (Pic by Sanjeewa Lasantha)
