Turtles to be released...

Twelve turtles believed to have been captured from the Vanniyakuliya lake in Thimbirigolla were handed over to Karuwalagaswewa wildlife officers by Pallama Police, to be released into the Wilpattu forest, as ordered by the Anamaduwa Magistrate. The two suspects arrested for the possession of the turtles were each fined Rs 40,000. Pic By – Jude Samantha
