2nd session of Parliament opens...

President Maithripala Sirisena presided at the Ceremonial Sitting of Parliament for opening of the Second Session of the Eighth Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka on Tuesday (8).

The Secretary-General of Parliament read out the Proclamations issued by the President proroguing Parliament and Summoning the Meeting. Thereafter, the President addressed the Parliament.
