New Western Provincial Council building opened...

The building complex built for the Western Provincial Council at Densil Kobbekaduwa Mawatha in  Battaramulla was opened by President Maithripala Sirisena on Thursday (12).

President Sirisena who opened the new building in midst of the chanting of pirith by Mahasangha marked the opening of it chairing the first meeting held at the new Council Hall.

This building complex was constructed bringing all the Ministries and Institutes of Western province provincial council in one building under the objective to provide a wider range of facilities and an efficient service to the public.

Former President Chandrika Kumaratunga, the governor of western province Hemakuamara Nanayakkara, Chief Minister Isura Devapriya, Secretary of western province Pradeep Yasarath, and the ministers, members  and officers of Western province   provincial council were present in this event.
