Sri Lanka Unites, a youth movement for hope and reconciliation, and several other civil organizations had organized a demonstration to urge the government to seek a peaceful resolution for the current situation in the country.

The event was held at the Galle Face Green this evening (15).

Sandhya Eknaligoda, the wife of missing journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda, had also joined the event.

Speaking at the event, she urged the government to not allow a series of events like Black July to take place in the country again.
