Devotees at Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya today (18) engaged in religious activities for the Vesak Poya Day.

Vesak Poya Day is the remembrance of the Birth, Enlightenment and the Nibbana of Gauthama Buddha.

Vesak, celebrated on two days of the Buddhist month of Vesakha, is considered a religious and a cultural event in Sri Lanka.
