‘Dansala’ at Dambulla Viharaya...

May 21, 2019

Owing to heightened security concerns which arose in the aftermath of unfortunate series of incidents on Easter Sunday, mega Vesak celebrations came to a halt this year, while the arrival of tourists also dropped to considerably low levels.

Despite all these, a group of German tourists had organized a soft drink ‘dansala’ on the Vesak Poya Day (18) and the day after (19) at the Dambulla Vihara Junction.

Local youths in the area also joined hands with the German tourists in this undertaking.

They had offered soft drinks and well-wishes to the devotees at the Dambulla Viharaya.
