August 28, 2019

Sri Lankan riot police use tear gas and water cannons to disperse protesting university students at Lotus Road in Colombo on Wednesday (28). The protest was organised by the Inter University Students’ Federation (IUSF) against attempts to pass the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Council (QAAC) Act in parliament, which they claim would nullify the role of the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC).
