Heroin among potatoes...

The Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) and Special Task Force (STF) yesterday (12) seized a haul of heroin weighing 99kg 478g, in Negombo.

The stock of heroin had been disguised as potatoes inside a container from Pakistan.

Acting on a tip-off, the officers of PNB and STF had given chase to a container, a lorry and a car in Lunuwila area in Wennappuwa. Upon inspecting the container, the officers had uncovered the heroin haul disguised as potatoes.
