PM commemorates 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami victims…

As today marked the 16th anniversary of 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa today (26) commemorated the victims of one of the deadliest and most destructive natural disasters on record, which ravaged more than several countries in the Indian Ocean, killing over 230,000 people. The Premier observed a two-minute silence at 9.5 am and lighted lamps in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the disaster.
