MP Ranjan Ramanayake was sentenced to four-year rigorous imprisonment by the Supreme Court today (12) regarding a contempt of court case. The former Deputy Minister was subsequently escorted out of the court complex by prison officers and taken to the Correctional Centre for Youth Offenders in Pallansena for quarantine.
