PM’s Bangladesh visit…

On an invitation extended by Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Friday (March 19) for a two-day state visit. PM Rajapaksa delivered a speech at the event to mark the conclusion of the “Mujib Year,” declared to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangladesh’s independence. Subsequently, the two leaders held bilateral discussions on Saturday (March 20). The two countries signed several Memoranda of Understanding in various sectors such as agriculture, technical education, health, and cultural cooperation.
