IUSF protest…

Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse protesting university students near the University of Colombo, on Tuesday (March 07).  

The protest march was organized by the Inter-University Students’ Federation (IUSF) based on several demands including the holding of local government elections and the repealing of the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).
