Joint trade union strike…

March 15, 2023

A collective token strike was staged by the Professionals’ Trade Union Alliance (PTUA) today (15 March), against the government and several unpopular decisions that were made in the recent past, including the electricity tariff hike and the increase in the amount of taxes due.

Trade unions from several sectors including electricity, water, education, medical, banking, postal, ports and railways joined the 24-hour token strike.
