International Nurses’ Day...

To mark International Nurses Day, an event was organized at the Colombo Foundation on Friday (May 12) under the aegis of Sagala Ratnayake, the President’s Senior Adviser on National Security and Chief of the Presidential Staff.

Minister of Labour & Foreign Employment Promotion Manusha Nanayakkara, former Minister of Health Rajitha Senaratne, MP Wajira Abeywardene, Senior Lecturer Pramitha Madhavi, Secretary of the Public Health Organization Nurse Bernie Silva and others including nurses, officials and trade union representatives were also in attendance.

During the event, excellence awards were bestowed on nurses and nursing officers in appreciation of their strenuous efforts to deliver commendable service.
