Despite protests by monks, Hindu devotees today went ahead with their religious rite at the Munneswaram Kali Kovil in Chilaw. Nearly 300 goats and chicken were slaughtered today as a part of a Hindu sacrifice.  Pic by Osanda Daham Nimsara
