Foreign warships commended for assistance…

Highlighting the spirit of global and regional cooperation, the Sri Lanka Navy acknowledged the support extended by foreign warships that participated in International Fleet Review (IFR) 2025, which also provided Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations during the recent weather disaster in Sri Lanka. The IFR 2025, held off the Galle Face seas under the theme “Sailing Strong – Together,” marking the 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Navy, with eight foreign naval warships arriving by 27 November to take part in the event. Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, representing the Government of Sri Lanka, attended the review today (01) and received the traditional naval salute aboard SLNS Gajabahu as participating warships paid their honours.
