A commemoration meeting to mark the first anniversary of the
assassination of Sunday Leader Editor-in- chief Lasantha Wickramathunga was
held today at the Jayawardena Centre, Colombo 7. Pictured here Lasantha’s
brother Lal Wickramathunga addressing the gathering. At around 10 a.m. on
January 8, 2009, Wickramatunga was killed in his car on his way to work on a
