Indian Navy ships here on goodwill visit

Four ships from the Indian navy arrived in Sri Lanka this morning (October 9) on a goodwill and training mission, said the Sri Lanka Navy spokesman.

 

 

Of the four navy vessels, one the INS Tharanganee entered the Colomboharbour while the other three – INS Dheer, INS Shardun and Coast Guard vessel Varuna arrived at the Trincomalee harbour.

 

 

While these vessels will remain in Sri Lanka till October 15, cross training programmes are to be conducted between the navy personnel of both countries.
