Tsunami rehearsal on the 13th - DMC

The Disaster ManagementCentre (DMC) is scheduled to organize a Tsunami rehearsal on 13thOctober in accordance to the International Dayfor Disaster Reduction. Deputy Director of the DMC-SL, Pradeep Kodippili stated that the exercise will be carried out so every coastal district in the country will be covered.

 

 


He further added that the Tsunami rehearsal will be held at 3pm on the 13th of October and that the public should not panic due to this. The National Disaster ManagementCentre has taken the necessary steps to inform the public about the exercise in the days to come.
