Unemployed graduates march in Kandy

October 14, 2010   03:45 pm

A group of unemployed graduates have taken to a protest march in the city of Kandy. It is reported that the march is taking place due to graduates who passed the competitive exam in 2007 for a teacher’s post in the Central Province not receiving due employment.

The Association of Unemployed Graduates accused that even though there are over 2000 vacant teachers posts in Central Province schools alone graduates are not being recruited for those respective posts.
