The Power & Energy Minister has ordered a special probe into the incidence where electricity supply to the Colombo High Court was disrupted on Friday when the case against Sarath Fonseka was in session.

Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka has directed Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) officials to submit a report within two day regarding the incident.

The investigations are to be carried out by a special unit from the CEB.

Last Friday, court was adjourned for hearing till November 2 after it was interrupted due to a power failure.

Minister Ranawaka has reportedly stated that if it is proved that the failure was due to sabotage, those responsible will be severely dealt with irrespective of party politics.
