Defence Chiefs pay traditional courtesy call on President Anura Kumara

Following the appointment as the new President, the Chiefs of Defence Forces paid a traditional courtesy call on President Anura Kumara Dissanayake yesterday (04) at the Presidential Secretariat, the President’s Media Division (PMD) stated.

Accordingly, Chief of Defence Staff General Shavendra Silva, Army Commander Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Air Force Commander Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, and Navy Commander Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera met with the President and engaged in a cordial conversation.

To mark the occasion, commemorative tokens were also presented, according to the PMD.
