VIDEO: Will not take Fonseka’s seat - JVP

JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva says that Lakshman Nipunaarachchi will not be sworn in to Parliament for the seat made vacant due Sarath Fonseka being imprisoned. He said that the JVP has come to a desicion that they will not appoint anyone to take the vacated seat of Fonseka.

 

 

He said that the decision was made under principal and that had they taken the Parliamentary seat of the former Army Chief they would be giving in and approving of the government’s conduct.

 

 

The General Secretary accused the government of attempting to publicly frame the JVP of stealing Fonseka’s seat.
