University administration and authorities have to be flexible when it comes to issues regarding the students. UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake says that it is evident that a group who has taken the law into their own hands is obstructing the free educational system.

Speaking at a media briefing today the Parliamentarian pointed out that relevant authorities have to intervene immediately in order to stabilize the complications that have risen relative to the country’s university system in general.

A certain group that has taken the law into their own hands is leading to the destruction of the free education system and they have to be stopped instantly, he emphasized.

Mr. Attanayake also stated that “Issues can’t be resolved if the students and the authorities are both acting stubbornly, however subversive actions by groups cannot be allowed either”

Steps have to be taken to make sure that the education of the majority of university students are not disrupted, he added.
