ITAK wins Mullaitivu; Independent Group wins Chavakachcheri

The results of the Pathadumbara polling division in Kandy District, Pelmadulla polling division in Ratnapura District, Mullaitivu polling division in Vanni District, Chavakachcheri and Vaddukkoddai polling divisions in Jaffna District have been released. 

Ilankai Thamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) has won in the Mullaitivu polling division while ‘Jaffna – Independent Group 17’ has won the Chavakachcheri polling division. 

NPP has secured victories in the Pathadumbara, Vaddukkoddai and Pelmadulla polling divisions.

Pathadumbara polling division in Kandy District:
 
National People’s Power (NPP) – 34,882
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 13,608
New Democratic Front (NDF) – 3,011
Kandy – Independent Group – 1,265
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) – 1,100

Mullaitivu polling division in Vanni District:

Ilankai Thamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) – 14,297
National People’s Power (NPP) – 7,789
Democratic Tamil National Alliance (DTNA) – 5,133
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 4,664
Sri Lanka Labour Party (SLLP) -2,678

Chavakachcheri polling division in Jaffna District:

Jaffna – Independent Group 17 – 5,978
National People’s Power (NPP) – 4,901
Ilankai Thamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) – 4,600
All Ceylon Tamil Congress (ACTC) – 2,596
Democratic Tamil National Alliance (DTNA) – 2,086

Vaddukkoddai polling division in Jaffna District: 

National People’s Power (NPP) – 5,850
