Matale District final results: NPP wins 4 seats, SJB gets one

The Election Commission of Sri Lanka has released the final results of the Matale District in the 2024 General Election with the National People’s Power (NPP) polling more than 66% of the total votes in the district. 

NPP has polled 181,678 votes to win the district while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is second with 53,200 votes (19.37%).

Accordingly, the NPP has secured 4 seats in the district while the SJB has won one seat in the district. 

National People’s Power (NPP) – 181,678 (4 seats)
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 53,200 (1 seat)
New Democratic Front (NDF) – 13,353
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) – 10,150
‘Sarvajana Balaya’ (SRJB) – 3,312
