NPP, SJB, ITAK, DTNA and SLLP share seats in Vanni District

The Election Commission of Sri Lanka has released the final results of the Vanni District in the 2024 General Election with the National People’s Power (NPP) polling more than 20% of the total votes in the district. 

 

NPP has polled 39,894 votes to win the district while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is second with 32,232 votes (16.45%).

 

Accordingly, the NPP has secured 2 seats in the district while the SJB, ITAK, DTNA and SLLP have won one seat each in the district. 

 

National People’s Power (NPP) –39,894 (2 seats)
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 32,232 (1 seat)
ITAK – 29,711 (1 seat)
DTNA – 21,102 (1 seat)
SLLP – 17,710 (1 seat)
