Import duty on potatoes and onions reduced

The import duty of potatoes have been reduced by Rs. 20 and the duty of Big Onions by Rs. 15 per kilo with effect from today, The Secretary to the Ministry of Internal Trade and Corporative affairs  Anura Siriwardena told Ada Derana. MORE...

 

According to a direction from the President to reduce the cost of living the Ministry took the decision, Siriwardena added. Hence the new Import duty on Potatoes and Big Onions will be Rs. 10.
