VIDEO: Colombo records highest rainfall in 18yrs, showers to continue – Met Dept

Colombo recorded 400mm of rainfall by 7am today, the highest rainfall in 18 years, the Meteorological Department said today. Several roads in Colombo remain inundated and the showers are expected to continue until 11am. The Met. Dept also warned against possible thunder showers in the evening.
