Iraj Weeraratne arrives at CID

Popular Sri Lankan rapper and singer Iraj Weeraratne arrived at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this morning (26) to provide a statement, following a summon issued by the CID, Ada Derana reporter said.

Weeraratne mentioned that he believed the CID had summoned him in connection with a revelation he made about Sudaththa Thilaksiri on his YouTube channel yesterday (25). 

He explained that the disclosure involved a fraudulent request for money intended for ‘Sri Dalada Maligawa’, adding that the video had garnered significant attention and had been viewed by a large number of Sri Lankans worldwide.
