Ex-President Maithripala leaves CID after giving statement

Former President Maithripala Sirisena has left the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) after providing a statement for around four hours, Ada Derana reporter said.

The former President had been summoned to record a statement over investigations into the allocation of funds from the President’s Fund to several individuals including politicians.
