Train derails near Colombo Fort railway station

A train has reportedly derailed near the Colombo Fort Railway Station this morning (01).
Sri Lanka Railways stated that the ‘Pulathisi’ Intercity Express Train, which was travelling from Batticaloa to Colombo Fort, had derailed this way near Fort Railway Station.
It is further reported that the train derailed near Platform 9 at Colombo Fort Railway Station, and efforts to restore the train on tracks have already commenced.
