The Colombo High Court has decided to postpone the ‘Hicorp’ hearings until the Supreme Court delivers a verdict as to whether the court-martial is a recognized court under the constitution of Sri Lanka.

The Supreme Court trial to decide if the Court Martial of Sarath Fonseka is recognized under the constitution is scheduled to commence on December 06.

Therefore it is appropriate to resume the hearings of the ‘Hicorp’ case after a verdict is given in that case, the government attorney informed court today (November 30).

Colombo High Court judge Sunil Rajapaksa, who took the points into consideration, then decided to postpone the hearings of the case till January 14.
