Debate on third reading of budget kicks off

November 30, 2010   11:56 am

The debate on the third reading of the Budget 2011 began in Parliament short while ago with the UNP critisising the appointment of senior ministers and the subjects being dealt by the ministries. UNP Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe questioned on why money was not being allocated separately to the relevant senior ministries and why the subject of the ministry not clearly defined.

Replying to Ranil, Government MP Nimal Siripala De Silva said that the subject matter has set by a Gazette notification and money has been allocated commonly to all the senior ministries.
