Vickramabahu’s supporters assaulted after greeting him at BIA

A group of Vickramabahu Karunarathne’s supporters were assaulted today after they left Bandaranaike International Airport(BIA), Vickramabahu told Ada Derana. He added that the group had held a welcoming ceremony at the airport when he returned to the country today and after which they were attack outside the airport.

 

 

Karunarathne claimed that the gang that assaulted his supporters was backed by a government MP and that he had informed the police of the incident.

 

 

Karunarathne recently delivered a speech at the LTTE Mahaveer Day in London causing an uproar from many segments of politicians.
