Police to crackdown on illegal software users

The Police will implement strong laws against those who illegally use computer software, Police Spokesman Prishantha Jayakody stated.
He further stated that these acts were crimes against the Intellectual Property Act no. 23 of 2003 and that any complaints made in the future will be investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) with stern action being taken against such offenders.
