Unauthorized structures in Narahenpita EC to be removed

All unauthorized structures surrounding the Narahenpita economic centre and in its vicinity will be removed starting from today (December 18). The closed down trade stalls in the economic centre will also be taken over by the state, Minister Johnston Fernando expressed.


The nationalized shops will then be used to house Sathosa Supermarkets and Paddy Marketing Board (PMB) trade stalls and also vegetable, eggs and chicken meat markets, the Cooperatives and Internal Trade Minister said during a visit to the Narahenpita economic centre.
